Cutting Cafe: February 14th

Regina from Cutting Cafe has been awfully busy lately with all her designing and creating ! She has come up with some FANTASTIC Valentine's Day files for us to use this week. One of my favorites was the 'February 14th' set. I decided to make a really fun and cute bookmark for this weeks project! It is SUPER cute and so easy to use! BBTB2: Bloom 6-petal flower challenge

I can't believe it is MONDAY again ...... it seems like the days are just flying by ! This week the lovely Jeri selected the challenge at BBTB2. She asked us to use the Bloom cartridge and make a 6-petal, dimensional flower ! I don't have this cartridge so I used Accent Essentials for the flower and WIMG for the leaves. I used My Mind's Eye paper line called 'Bloom & Grow' ..... I don't think I have EVER used so many cuttlebug folders or pop dots in my LIFE ! I think there are TEN layers that comprise my flower ! LOL I recovered (re-purposed!) a cute little box that I have had for years ..... This was SUCH a fun project. Cutting Cafe: Heart Bag

Happy Wednesday everyone ! Today it is FINALLY raining ! I can't think of many things better suited to rainy weather than CRAFTING !!! Regina at Cutting Cafe selected a great Valentine's Day themed project. I decided to use the heart bag for my project this week. I LOVE using her wonderful PDF files - you can just purchase them from her site, download and PRINT. If you have a die cutting machine that cuts SVG files or WPC files, you can actually cut these files from your machine ! Talk about SIMPLE ! Check out all the newest files Regina has designed HERE .... you will LOVE her creations !!!!

BBTB2: Challenge - NUMBERS !!!

Happy Monday everyone ! I am so excited to be off work for the day today ! It gives me extra time to spend with my loved ones. This week our challenge was to select any cartridge and make a project with NUMBERS. Donna chose this to represent her MIL's 90th birthday - what a milestone !!!!!
My daughter will be celebrating her 13th birthday in a few short weeks, so I thought it would be the perfect time to make her a fun card ! She is just LOVING zebra stripes along with pink, so I used these bright fun colors & patterns to coordinate with her favorite combination ! Happy Wednesday, friends ! This week Regina asked us to create a project using her adorable 'Long Sentiment Tag' set ! I can't believe it is the end of the year already ! With the end of the year comes the end of my first term as a Design Team member with Cutting Cafe ! I have been truly blessed to be able to participate for another term - I can't WAIT to see what Regina has in store for us in the upcoming months ! Here we are, only two weeks until Christmas. I am not even CLOSE to being done with my shopping, baking or decorating. YIKES !! I did take time out this week to do the BBTB2 challenge - I selected the Winter Frolic cartridge and asked out Design Team members to make a Christmas tag ! I LOVE how they all turned out ! Cutting Cafe: Christmas Pockets & Christmas Card Fun

It is Wednesday and Christmas preparations are in full swing at the Warner household. I have been a bit of a procrastinator this year ...... I have not started ONE single hand-made gift for my family yet ..... I suppose I had better get in gear LOL !!!!
This week the beautiful REGINA (owner & designer of Cutting Cafe) asked us to make a project using her Christmas Pockets file. There are several to choose from this set: a stocking, Christmas tree, snowflake, mittens, candycane and star. It is SO easy to print these or cut them from your die cutting machine ! I printed mine using the PDF file, cut it out and embellished. Make sure you check out Regina's site for her printable, cuttable files !!! They will make your projects SO easy to complete !!!

Thanksgiving Challenge with Cutting Cafe !!

Happy NOVEMBER friends ! I can't believe that next week is THANKSGIVING ! I have so many things to be thankful for this year - my husband is such a wonderful provider, my daughters are the most beautiful, talented and gifted girls ... My Mom is AMAZING and such a role model ... I have a great sister and the BEST of friends. We are healthy and have food in our bellies and a roof over our heads...... and SO much more.

One of the things that I am so thankful for is the opportunity to share my talents with all of YOU .... and REGINA makes this possible by having a wonderful site (CUTTING CAFE) where I can download and print images, sayings and cuttable files. This week the design team was asked to use any of the THANKSGIVING DAY files to create fall project ...... There are more than 20 great images on this set ! I used the darling background stamps (Gobble Gobble and Happy Thanksgiving) from this great set !!!! The adorable turkey was part of this set as well - I colored him with my Prismacolor Watercolor Pencils !!!

I made a stair-step card (my VERY first attempt EVER) and had SO much fun with it ! I can't wait to make some darling Christmas Cards & some cute birthday cards as well !!!

BBTB2 - Heritage, Accent 9 (Fancy Corner)

Happy Monday !!! This week we were asked to use Accent 9 from the Heritage cartridge for our challenge. I don't have this cartridge, so I scanned all the ones I do have and realized I have NEVER used my Picturesque cartridge !!! So, I grabbed it and realized there are SOOO many great features on this cartridge - along with some great cuts. This is a 'cherry blossom' and some of the features are a tri-fold card, a corner and tags. SUPER cute images and a great cartridge. I think I may be using this cart again really soon !!!! I just got back from J's today - they had their open stock paper for 5 for $.95 so I stocked up ... I think 90 sheets will get my by for a while ! LOL

BBTB2: Hello Kitty

Hey everyone ! This week at BBTB2 we were asked to use the Hello Kitty cartridge to make a darling Halloween project ! I really wanted to do a haunted house, so I found one on the Holiday Cakes cartridge and made a luminary ! I used vellum in the windows (at the suggestion of my WONDERFUL husband !) to help show the 'glow' of the little votive battery-operated candles I put inside ! This was such a fun project to work on ! I love to think outside of the box and this let me do just that ! Please be sure to check out all the other fantastic projects at BBTB2 ! Fall is my favorite time of year - it gets dark earlier, the clouds fill the sky and the air turns crisp. I can't wait to bundle up in my favorite brown sweater !!!! Our wonderful DT sister Donna asked to use the wheelbarrow cut from Walk in My Garden this week - and if we didn't have that specific cartridge we were asked to use any wheelbarrow or even a wagon so we could participate !!!

I love WIMG - it was one of the very first cartridges that I purchased after I got my baby bug - over 4 years ago !!!! I cut the grass from WIMG, I used Simply Charmed for my tree, and Tags, Bags, Boxes & More for the lunch bag. I actually used a REAL paper bag to cut the lunch bag out - I thought it would be fun to recycle and make it look authentic !

Cutting Cafe: Fall Bingo Cards

Hi there everyone ! This week, the fabulous Regina from Cutting Cafe wanted our Design Team to create a project using the FALL BINGO CARDS found here. She has such a wonderful selection of cards, from small, medium and large, to colored, black & white and even matching frames ! If you haven't stopped by the website, you should RUN, not walk to CUTTING CAFE and check out all the darling printable images & cutting files she has recently added !!!!!
I chose to use a few of the small, colored Bingo cards and make a magnetic board for traveling ! I know lots of us do travel over the Thanksgiving Holidays and I thought boards like this would give my girls something fun to do while waiting to get to Grandma's house ! The cards have a little magnet on the back, as do the buttons so they can be easily moved around. I made a 'pocket' on the metal board to keep the little cards handy as well. These magnetic boards are SO much fun to make - I can't wait to use Regina's Halloween images to make some more travel games for the kids !!!

Cutting Cafe: Quarter Fold Box & Everyday 1" Greetings

Hi there everyone ! I am so honored to be able to share my FIRST Cutting Cafe project with you this week ! I still have to pinch myself to make sure I am REALLY on Regina's fantastic Design Team ! LOL
One of my favorite downloads is the Quarter Fold Box ! I found these darling little composition journals in a pack of 3 .... at the Dollar Store, so I just KNEW I had to use them !!! I altered them with Echo Park Paper Company 'Summer Days' papers along with some solid colored cardstock. I decided to add eyelets and a ribbon handle to finish off the darling box. All three of the journals I altered fit in this perfectly, and there is even a bit of room for a goody too !!!

BLOG HOP !!!! Heritage tree challenge

Hi there and HAPPY MONDAY ! As you may have noticed, it is BLOG HOP time ! If you are hopping with us, you should have just arrived from the most talented DONNA'S blog !!! Our challenge this week was to use the curly tree from the Heritage cartridge. I don't have that cart, so I was able to use ANY tree from my collection of cartridges. I chose Cindy Loo - and selected my FAVE Basic Grey papers to accompany my tree. I used LOTS of pop-dots to show some dimension and then selected 'FALL' from the Creative Memories cartridge 'Cheerful Seasons'. I love how this turned out, and it now hangs on my scrap-room wall !!! BTTB2: Pie Challenge

My BFF Krista chose the designer's challenge this week over at BBTB2. She chose the pie from Paper Doll Dress Up. If we didn't have that cartridge, we could use any pie from the other cartridges. I decided to use the Simply Charmed cartridge for this challenge ! I wanted my card to be kind of homey so I used my paper edger to the brown paper to give it a 'shabby-chic' look ... I also embossed a few of my cherries and used pop dots for a bit of dimension. One of my favorite pies is cherry - so this was right up my alley !!!! I can't wait until fall ..... BBTB2 Challenge: Locker Talk

Happy Monday everyone ! I was selected this week to choose the challenge over at Bitten By the Bug 2 and I picked Locker Talk. School is just around the corner so I thought it would be fun to do a school-themed challenge ! I decided to cover a composition book and add some cute die-cuts to it, and then made a little pencil holder. I used the little Cricut Pens to get the lines on the notebook paper - such a fun thing to try ! The printed papers I used are from DCWV - I LOVE this paper line. Even though I am NOT a fan of the white core on their papers, they just are so darn cute I always feel compelled to buy them !!! LOL

BBTB2 Jolly Holidays: Penguin/Umbrella challenge !

Hi all - it has been SUCH a busy summer, I finally was able to sit down and do a challenge for BBTB2 this week ! Our sweet Melissa challenged us to use the Jolly Holidays cartridge, featuring the penguin & umbrella. Since I don't have this cartridge, I used a variety of cartridges to complete this challenge: Simply charmed for the penguins, Create-a-Critter for the igloo, Plantin Schoolbook for the grass, Life's a Beach for umbrella and bikini ... you get the idea ! I had SO MUCH FUN with this challenge - it really made me have to think about what I wanted to do ... and since it is SUMMER I thought it would be fun to do something 'cool' ..... LOL

Helloooo out there ! Well, several of you have asked me when I will be teaching Cricut Classes again .... and I have an answer for you ...... SOON !!!!! I am currently working with Nancy & Larry (the WONDERFUL new owners) at Sugar and Spice in Central Point to jump on board with some AWESOME Cricut Classes. We don't have details yet - but we are looking to get some input on HOW MANY will be interested in BEGINNING and then ADVANCED classes ... Teacher's Gifts from Holley & Caitlyn

So this was Holley's last year at Oak Grove elementary school - the teachers and staff at 'our' school are second to none. We had such a great 7 years, and we are very excited that Caitlyn still has 4 more years ahead of her ! These gifts were so much fun to do and a great memento for each of the girls' teachers ! I purchased the 'billboards' from Craft Warehouse already assembled. I painted them and selected papers from my 'stash' that I thought would represent their teachers' personalities the best ! They both LOVED their gifts and I was so tickled ! I took pictures the whole last week of school and then Friday morning went and printed them out - one of the best things I have ever done ! I gave extras to other teachers, the Principal and staff, as well as parents !!! The sayings and their teachers' names were cut out using Sure Cuts A Lot and my Cricut .... I used vinyl and it turned out perfect !!! I LOVE using SCAL with my bug - so much fun and SO much flexibility !!! Anyhow, sorry I haven't been very active on my BLOG lately ...... Softball has been SO very time consuming and there just aren't enough hours in the day ! VERY special HUGS to my BFF Krista - I know I haven't been the greatest 'BEST FRIEND' lately .... so if you are reading this, know that I love you girl .... You are TRULY the most wonderful BFF ever !!

BBTB2: Forever Young Sunglasses Challenge

Happy MONDAY friends ! This week we were asked to use the Sunglasses cut from the Forever Young cartridge. Since I don't have this cartridge, I used my GYPSY to find out what other cartridges had sunglasses. I chose the darling ones from PAISLEY !!!!
I thought it would be fun to create a 'Mardi Gras' mask using the sunglasses - and VOILA ....here is my creation ! My youngest daughter is not feeling well this morning, but I begged her to put on a smile and hold up her little 'mask' ... She is such a trooper ! BBTB2 Challenge: Pineapple

This week our challenge at BBTB2 was to use the pineapple from the Wall Decor cartridge. I don't own that cart, so I used the Life's a Beach cartridge ! I thought it would be a BLAST to have a 'margarita party' and thought this would be a great 'place card' for the festivities ! It would be SUPER fun to make all the decorations and invitations using the darling theme on the LAB cartridge ..... hmmmm .... that makes me think we should get a few of the girls together and plan this fun party after all !!! BBTB2 Challenge: Mothers Day 2010

Happy SPRING everyone ! This week it was my week to choose the challenge for our BBTB2 blog ! I chose the Mother's Day 2010 cartridge to honor all of those wonderful women in our lives ! Caitlyn's Valentines !

My youngest daughter (almost 8) decided it was important to MAKE her Valentine's Day cards this year. Her teacher had mentioned that she preferred home-made cards to the store bought ones, so Caitlyn really wanted to make hers. She picked out the papers at JoAnnns and she picked out the design and everything all by herself ! She helped cut out the pieces for her cards on my Expression (we used Love Struck 2010)and she assembled the cards ALL BY HERSELF !! I resisted EVERY temptation to help 'fix' her cards ... I wanted them to be truly her own creation ! She was SOOO excited to give these out ... and I am SOOOO proud of her ..... she is a miss crafty girl to the core !!!! Hugs to you all !

Weekly BBTB2 challenge: "Fence" cut

Hi there - it is another GREAT weekly challenge over at BBTB2 ! Theresa has chosen the fence cut on the BLOOM cartridge, or if you didn't have that one, ANY fence cut would work !
I chose Paper Dolls Dress Up for the fence ... and then I went WILD with the Create a Critter Cartridge !!! I hadn't used this cartridge yet, so I was pretty excited to do some playing ! The animals were SO much fun to do ... the layering on this cartridge is pretty easy and mixing and matching the paper was the best part ! I cut all the animals at 2 1/2" ... I used Zoobaloo for the grass, Doodlecharms for the sun and Wild Card for the inside sentiment. Go WILD came from the CAC cartridge as well !!! I haven't done a gate-fold card in a while, so I thought it would be fun to try something different !
My girls really love this card - and I hope you do too ! Be sure to check out the other Design Team projects and don't forget you can participate in the BBTB2 challenge by submitting your project !!!!

Bitten by the Bug Challenge: Butterfly

Hi there ladies - I was asked to select this weeks' challenge for Bitten by the Bug ! I have had the Once Upon a Princess cartridge for a while but I haven't taken the chance to really play with it, so I thought now would be a great opportunity ! I selected the darling butterfly from page 59 in the handbook. I love to 'layer' things these days so I made a few different wings of contrasting paper and bent them to add dimension. Of course I HAD to use my stickles to glitter things up a bit too ! I had so much fun creating this layout of my niece ..... I rarely scrapbook anymore, as cards are SO much easier for me to actually finish (LOL)! I hope you had as much fun as I did with this challenge ! I can't wait to see what my wonderfully talented Design Team Sisters created (I know your projects will be FABULOUS !) and I hope all of you out there in Blog-Land will jump on board and take our challenge - just head over to the BBTB2 blog and use the Linky to add your project !

BBTB2 : Joys of the Season wreath

This week we were asked to create a project using the wreath on the Joys of the Seasons cartridge. Since I don't have that one, I decided to use Christmas Cheer and the holly leaves & berries. I cut a silhouette circle using George as my 'wreath guide' and then cut holly and berries from Christmas Cheer by using Design Studio. It is SO nice to be able to 'hide contours' when working with Design Studio ! My youngest daughter ran the leaves through the cuttlebug (she LOVES to help me !) and helped ink the edges of the leaves. The bow was cut using Christmas Cheer as well. I used Smooch pearlized top coat for some sparkle and then added my oldest daughter's school picture !!! I hope you like this project - it was really fun and turned out pretty cute I think ! BBTB2 challenge: Flourish

I can't believe that today is the FIRST day of November !!!! The hoiday season has just begun, and I am in the mood for celebrating ! This week over at Bitten By the Bug, we were asked to do a challenge using a flourish from the Cindy Loo cartridge. I don't have this cartride, so I decided to hunt for some cute flourishes on my other cartridges. Storybook has some GREAT ones, and I used a cute one to decorate my Christmas Tree ! I thought this flourish would look GREAT as snow on my tree !
I made the base of this card using GEORGE and my Design Studio. The tree trunk and star are also from GEORGE. I welded a rectangle between two triangles to create the 'spine' of the card - that way it can open and hold a gift card or a Christmas letter and not be flat ! I decorated with stickles (my fave) and buttons. I always love having to CHALLENGE myself when I don't have a particular cartridge. It makes me look at those carts that I have a bit closer and rediscover why I bought them in the first place !!!

Hi everyone ! Can you believe it is the end of the month already ? That means it is BLOG HOP TIME for us over at Bitten by the Bug 2 !!!

You should be arriving here from the VERY talented BETH'S blog! Isn't her project just adorable ?!!! So for this challenge, we were to use the Country Life cartridge coupled with any of the 'banner' keys. Since I didn't have that cartridge, I used Mother's Day 2010 for the banner shape and then Doodlecharms for the snowflakes & snowman. I used the Gypsy font for the 'let it SNOW' message as well. (My very FIRST attempt at the Gypsy - I have SOOOO much more to learn!) Paper is K&I Memories and Core'dinations and I used TONS of stickles !!!! I had fun with this project - I hope you can see the details on this .... my photography wasn't so swell on this one !!!

National Card Making day projects: Craft Warehouse

Yesterday was National Card Making Day and I was asked by Craft Warehouse to prepare and teach these make-n-take cards at the store ! We had OVER 65 people come through in 4 hours to make each of these cards - it was CRAZY !!! We had so much fun though - there were children from age 4 to adults in their 80's that participated - It was GREAT !!!! I hope you all did something fun for the special day and made some cute cards !!!

I decided to go down to my favorite store here in Medford - CRAFT WAREHOUSE - to see if Erin and Chris needed some help for National Card Making Day on Saturday ..... and they PUT ME TO WORK !!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the layout we are doing on Friday - using the Designer's Calendar cartridge. I will tell you something - Provo Craft did NOT do this cartridge justice when they chose the art work for the back of the cartridge box. I would have NEVER given this cartridge a second look based on the 'projects' they chose. And I would have been MISSING OUT !!! This cartridge has SO many great features and cute icons .... I LOVE IT !!!
I guess I learned a valuable lesson - you CANNOT judge a cartridge by it's box .... (aka: you can't judge a book by it's cover - a lesson I am trying to instill into my beautiful daughters !)

So next time you look at the back of a cartridge box, don't stop there - go to the cricut message board and look at the digital images that come with the cartridge instead. You will be glad you did !!!!

Shelly's Images Challenge: BBTB2

This week at BBTB2, we were asked to create a project using a digital image from Shelly's online store. I selected sunflowers because to me they represent the warm, fun summery season. Please check out Shelley's website here. In addition to the image, we were to use a 'hinge' cut from the Fabulous Finds cartridge. This is a cartridge that I had not used yet, and I can't believe the variety of great cuts there are on it !!! I used pop-dots to raise up my watering can and hinges and I think it gave the project some depth ! I had fun doing this project and I hope you like it ! BBTB2: Storybook Cartridge Challenge

Here is my project for the challenge this week over at Bitten By The Bug 2 !!! The challenge was to use the darling owl from the Storybook cartridge. I used Basic Grey paper, Smooches Pearlized Accent ink (Molasses), a couple of prima flowers, some rhinestones and some distress ink to finish up my card. The 'Thank you' sentiment was also cut from Storybook. This is the first project I have been able to complete since my little 'accident' ..... and it feels SOOOO good to be back to crafting !!! Ginger & the girls at Sugar & Spice (Central Point) are looking for SIX design team members to help out with projects at the store .... so I decided to take their challenge of coming up with a 2 page layout using the kit they put together. I haven't done lots of layouts lately - I have been more into card-making and other paper-crafting projects - so I struggled a bit in the beginning ! I decided to get out my sewing machine and do some stitching, which I LOVE to do !!! BLOG HOP and BBTB2 Challenge: Sentimentals

Hi everyone, thank you SO much for hopping to my BLOG ! If you are arriving here from the AWESOME BBTB2 site, I hope you enjoyed all the great projects posted ! We have some new Designer's on the team, and I would like to welcome them ALL to this remarkably talented group of ladies. We are thrilled to have you as part of the team ! So, the challenge this week was to create a project using the BEE from the Sentimentals cartridge. Well, I don't have this cart yet, so I decided to use the bee from the darling PAISLEY cartridge, coupled with the saying from the 'Just Because' cart. I Since spring is FINALLY around the corner here, I thought my artificial gerber daisies would be PERFECT !!! I arranged them in my favorite little container that I have had forever - you just have to LOVE the color ! I used 2 layers of vellum for the bee wings and some pop dots to raise the bee up from the bottom set of wings. I also used a pencil to curl the edges of the wings a bit for some added dimension. As always, I LOVE the weekly challenges .... I hope you do too !!!! Since it IS the end of the month, we are doing our fun BLOG HOP !!! Plantin Schoolbook Zig Zag Challenge

This week we were asked to use the zig zag from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge ! I decided to use Design Studio and make my own card base, and used the zig zag as part of it. I welded two of the zig zags together and cut it in brown. For the word THANKS, I used Sure Cuts Alot !!! A few dots here and there with my paint pen, a few drops of stickles for the center of the flower letters and a couple of little flowers and POOF !!! There we have it !!!! Info about my shrinkable charms !

Hi there everyone - WOW ! Thank you all so much for your kind words about my work ! The charms were SO much fun to make. Here are the details of how I made them:
I bought the "Shrinky Dinks Bright White" shrinkable plastic from Michael's. There are six 8x10 sheets for about $5.99 ish.
I cut the images between 1 3/8" and 1 1/2" using Design Studio (so I could see how big they were BEFORE cutting ! And it allowed me to cut several at once !) I DO NOT have the deep-cut housing / blade combo. I doubt I ever will buy it, since I am able to cut a full variety of materials without it ! The settings I used were blade:6 and pressure:6. I did a multi-cut of 2 also. It sliced right through it on my expression with no problems. I didn't have to punch the pieces out or anything else, like you do sometimes when it doesn't cut all the way through.
I took some permanent ink pens, colored my 'charms', used my Crop-A-Dile to punch a small hole near the top and then placed them on a piece of paper bag and popped them onto a pan, baked at 325* for about 2 minutes ! I kept checking back to watch them fold up and shrink, since that is the fun part !.... Let them cool for a minute and then use jump-rings to attach as charms !!!! Picture is of them BEFORE I baked them !

Paisley Cartridge Challenge !

I was honored to be asked to act as hostess for this week's challenge at BBTB2. I chose the purse cuts from the Paisley Cartridge - and WOWEEEEE - let me tell you ... I think these are the best designs I have seen YET ! These Design Team ladies are FANTASTIC !! I chose the envelope purse, and decided to make it open up into a mini album to display darling pictures of my girls !!! I used Design Studio to make a bottom for the purse and then made the flap open so you can see inside ! The purse strap is simply ribbon, pulled through two eyelets and tied inside .... and the charms are made from Shrinky Dink plastic !!!! I used the Paisley cartridge to cut the shrinky dink plastic, colored the cuts with permanent marker, punched a hole in the charms using my cropadile, and then baked them in the oven !!!! BBTB2 Challenge: Sweet Treats birthday cake !

Here is my entry for the BBTB2 challenge this week. We are celebrating Susan's birthday and she chose this darling cut from the Sweet Treats cartridge ! I used TONS of stickles on this to get it to really shine ! The card opens from the top, with the hinge on the bottom. I used Design Studio to weld a rectangle to the 2 cakes and took it from there ! This week we had another GREAT challenge over at BBTB2 ! We were asked to use a darling set of stamps from Technique Tuesday (which unfortunately I never received !!!) and one of the flourishes from Stretch Your Imagination. I just LOVE these weekly challenges because it gets me to really look at cartridges I haven't fully explored yet !!! I used darling paper from My Mind's Eye: Bohemia collection, a stamp from CTMH, some stickles, some ink and some Prima flowers. This isn't my typical style - but I really like how it turned out !

Cupcake Challenge !

Here we are, once again, with another GREAT challenge for the BBTB2 site this week. Our challenge was to use the cupcake from either Doodlecharms or Celebrations. I love cupcakes, so this challenge was particularly YUMMY !
We are also having our monthly BLOG-HOP ... and this is my VERY FIRST participation in the hop, so WELCOME ! You should be arriving here from Susan's blog She has a darling blog and she is such a talented lady !

BBTB2 Challenge: Wedding Solutions & Cutting Cafe

Here is this week's challenge - use the double heart cut from the Wedding Solutions cartridge and a great image from the fantastic Cutting Cafe ! I used the Paisley cartridge for the darling owl and Alphalicious for the lettering. My first BBTB2 challenge: Wild Card

This is my first challenge for the Bitten by the Bug 2 team - and I am honored to be a contributor! Our challenge this week was to create a card using the heart card from the Wild Card cartridge. I added lace around the edge, used my cuttlebug for some embossing, Smooch paint, American Crafts white paint pen and some Kaiser Craft rhinestones. This was a fun challenge and I can't wait to continue my stint as a designer for this team for the months to come !!!!

Scrapbook Layout

This is one of my recent scrapbook layouts of my daughters. They are 10 and 6 and they are so much fun ! I can't believe how big they are getting - seems like just yesterday when I was holding their tiny hands in mine ! I would love to hear from you - comments are always welcome !!!

Family Tree

I decided to make this Family Tree for my Mom for Christmas this year. This is a kit from Kaiser Craft and I just LOVE their stuff !
I used my Expression machine to cut out the words & the banner - painted it with paint, did some embellishments and paper and VOILA ! My Mom got to see it in person, on display at Craft Warehouse - she started crying !!! It was a great moment for us both ! I hope you enjoy it !

Jungle Theme Card

This is one of my favorite projects ! I used mostly the Zoobaloo cartridge for this shape card. I used the cuttlebug for embossing the definition on the leaves, chalking and some inking too. I wanted to make the leaves pop so I raised them using pop-dots. I used a brad as the center of a flower to allow the card to open & close. The 'toucan' was one of my creations, using a mix of a quail and a crescent shape for the 'beak' ! It was a really fun card !

Forever Friends Card

This is a card that I made for this week's 2Sketches4You challenge. Sketch 13 is by the talented Kazan. I used Amanda Blu papers & ribbon, my SU scallop punch, a few Stickles, some ki memories rubons and a MAMBI glitter word. This HAD to have pinks in it because the recipient (My BFF KRISTA - SHHHHHH don't tell her !) LOVES pink .... I hope you like my card !!!

My take on one of Laura's sketches !

This is my interpretation of Laura's Sketch on the 2Sketches4You blogsite.

I had a great time making this - the flap on the right holds the card closed - just tuck the front of the card in after writing the message on the inside ! I used my Expression to cut the flap using the Storybook cartridge and resized it using Design Studio !!! I used ink to make the colors pop too. I hope you like this fun, bright card ! Best Friends Always Card

I made this card for my Best Friend Krista ! She loves Pink and I thought that black was a perfect compliment ! I love polka-dots and circles, and thought I would try to add them to this card. I also got my sewing machine out and stitched on the card - I have been sewing for almost 30 years (not shabby for someone who is 38 years old !!!!) and figured I had better put my sewing skills to good use ! Thank you for looking !
